Tasting Notes:
The Zinfandel is flush through the entirety of the palate, but not coarse or unrefined but rather elegant both on the mid palate and the finish. The finish carries through the back palate with texture and without the typical thinness of Zinfandel. 100% hand picked. Extraction is through pump-over only, as the skin to juice ratio is such that too much agitation and skin maceration would create too much tannin in the wine, thus disguising its fruit and plushness.

It is not a 'hot' Zin or jam filled sugar bomb but a fruit driven wine that has a tremendous amount of black fruit characteristic.  Spice is always in the terroir of Dry Creek Zinfandel and this wine tends to lend itself towards more exotic flavors of cardamom, fennel, and all-spice due to the ripening.
